BarCap Launches Beta Commodity Fund

Barclays Capital is launching the Barclays Pure Beta Commodity fund to offshore life bond investors, Financial Times reports. The vehicle aims to invest in mid to long-term commodity prices.
The investment approach is using the futures strip price, which is a simple average of settlement prices for the next one year for each commodity. The fund managers will take a variety of prices during the term of the structured product.
