Legado runs a carbon dioxide-enhanced oil recovery processing station near Goldsmith, Texas. Legado's portion of the field has produced 74 million barrels of oil since 1934. The company hopes to extract as much as 100 million barrels more using CO2 injection, Dane Cantwell, senior vice president for development, says.
