Kinder Morgan uses a pump jack to extract oil from its carbon dioxide-enhanced Yates oil field in Iraan, Texas. The field is named after Ira and Ann Yates, who owned the ranch on which oil was discovered in 1926. In 1962, the field became a principal U.S. supplier for Marathon Oil Co.
